Cash Tournament Rules
Undermawlers: Crystal War - CASH TOURNAMENT RULES
These Cash Tournament Rules (“Tournament Rules”) apply to each cash-prize tournament (each, a “Tournament”) operated by ELOTACTIX LTD (“we”, “us”, “our”) within the Undermawlers: Crystal War game and Services.
These Tournament Rules form part of, and are subject to, our Terms and Conditions (“Terms”). Capitalised terms not defined in these Tournament Rules have the meanings given in the Terms. In the event of any conflict between these Tournament Rules and the Terms, the Terms shall prevail except where these Tournament Rules expressly provide otherwise for a specific Tournament.
0. AVAILABILITY OF CASH TOURNAMENTS (“COMING SOON”)
0.1 Feature in development
At the date of this version, Cash Tournaments are still in development and may be shown in the game as “coming soon” or similar. This document describes how we currently intend Cash Tournaments to operate once launched, and does not constitute a commitment or guarantee that Cash Tournaments will be launched or made available in any jurisdiction.
0.2 No obligation to run any Tournament
Nothing in these Tournament Rules obliges us to launch any specific Tournament or to make Cash Tournaments available in any particular region or at any particular time. We may:
- delay or cancel the launch of Cash Tournaments,
- change the design or parameters of Cash Tournaments before they go live, and/or
- run test or limited-access Tournaments only.
0.3 Precedence of in-game Tournament information
For any Tournament that is actually made available, the specific Tournament details displayed in the in-game Tournament interface (for example: eligibility requirements, start/end times, prize structure, and scoring rules) form part of the rules for that Tournament. If there is any inconsistency between generic examples in these Tournament Rules and the specific details shown for a particular Tournament, the Tournament-specific screen prevails, except where it conflicts with the Terms or mandatory law.
1. ELIGIBILITY AND ENTRY REQUIREMENTS (NON-FINANCIAL)
1.1 No Entry Fee
Participation in a Tournament is free of charge. You are not required, and are not permitted, to pay any fee or stake of any kind (including real money, Crystals, Tournament Points or any other Virtual Currency) to enter a Tournament or as a condition of participation in a Tournament. No purchase (including subscriptions, Crystals, or in-game items) is required to access registration, to obtain a Tournament start slot, or to improve Tournament performance.
1.2 Account and Age Requirements
To enter a Tournament, you must:
- hold a valid Undermawlers: Crystal War Account in good standing;
- be at least 18 years old, or the legal age of majority in your country of residence (if higher); and
- satisfy any additional eligibility criteria notified for the Tournament (for example, territorial restrictions).
1.3 Game-Progression and Activity Requirements (Tournament-Specific)
1.3.1 Each Tournament may require that your main-game Account meets certain in-game progression and/or activity criteria before you may register or participate. These criteria may include, by way of example and without limitation:
- a minimum castle level (which may differ from one Tournament to another);
- having successfully attached at least X beasts within the Y days prior to the Tournament start time;
- having reached or maintained particular milestones, achievements, or activity levels in the main game within a defined look-back period.
1.3.2 The exact requirements for each Tournament (such as the required castle level, number of beasts, and relevant time windows) will be displayed on the Tournament information / registration screen. These requirements:
- may differ from one Tournament to another,
- may be adjusted by us up to the Tournament start time, and
- form part of the eligibility conditions for that specific Tournament.
1.3.3 Your satisfaction of any such requirements will be determined solely by our internal records and logs. Our determination as to whether you meet the requirements is final, subject to any mandatory rights you may have under applicable law.
1.3.4 If we reasonably believe the requirements are not met, we may:
- prevent you from registering for the Tournament;
- cancel or revoke your registration; and/or
- disqualify you, adjust rankings or withhold prizes, even if the client interface has incorrectly allowed registration.
1.4 KYC / AML Verification
Before you may register for or participate in any Tournament that offers Diamonds as prizes, you must successfully complete our Know Your Customer (KYC) and anti-money laundering (AML) checks as required under the Terms and our KYC & Prize Withdrawal Policy. We may refuse or revoke your participation if you fail or refuse to complete such checks.
1.5 One Account Per Individual
You may only use one Account to participate in any particular Tournament. Use of multiple Accounts by the same individual for the same Tournament is prohibited and may result in disqualification and/or account sanctions.
1.6 Territorial Restrictions
Tournaments may not be available in all jurisdictions. You are responsible for ensuring that participation in a Tournament is lawful in your jurisdiction, subject to any representations we expressly make regarding availability. We may restrict access from certain countries or regions at our discretion.
1.7 Registration Window
Each Tournament will have a clearly specified registration period displayed within the game (for example, 7 days). You must register within this period using the in-game Tournament interface. We may close registration earlier or extend it, where necessary, for technical, legal, or operational reasons.
1.8 Tournament Start Time Selection
At registration, you may be required to select a Tournament start time window from a list of available options. The Tournament will begin for you at the start of the window you have selected, as indicated in the Tournament interface.
2. FIXED STARTING CONDITIONS
2.1 Equal Starting Resources
All participants in a Tournament start with identical in-Tournament resources, as specified on the Tournament information screen (“Starting Conditions”), and disclosed prior to participation, which may include, for example:
- a fixed amount of in-Tournament resources (e.g. gold, wood, stone, etc.); and
- a fixed amount of Tournament Points (e.g. X Tournament Points).
2.2 Tournament Points Only
Tournament Points granted for use in a Tournament:
- are created solely for that Tournament and exist only within the Tournament environment;
- cannot be purchased with real money, Crystals or any other Virtual Currency;
- cannot be transferred to or from other players;
- cannot be converted into Crystals, Diamonds or any real-world currency; and
- automatically expire or are deleted when the Tournament ends.
2.3 No Direct Carry-Over Advantages
Your main-game progression (including your main-game cities, items, Crystals or levels) does not carry over as a direct advantage into the Tournament (for example, you do not start with stronger units or higher stats because of your main-game progress). All Tournament participants have the same Starting Conditions within the Tournament environment.
For the avoidance of doubt, this does not prevent us from using main-game progression or activity (such as castle level or number of beasts attached in a recent period) as eligibility requirements to enter a Tournament, as described in clause 1.3.
2.4 Identical Map / Scenario
The Tournament “map” or scenario (including base layout, terrain, fog-of-war pattern and computer-controlled elements such as monsters or objectives) is identical for every participant in the same Tournament.
2.5 Fixed Positions and Values
The positions, characteristics and reward values of in-Tournament monsters or objectives are pre-defined and fixed for all participants. They do not vary between participants and are not randomised individually per player.
3. TOURNAMENT MECHANICS
3.1 Tournament Environment
The Tournament takes place in a separate, self-contained environment within the game, independent from your permanent main-game progression.
3.2 Duration
Each Tournament has a fixed duration (for example, 7–14 days), which will be displayed on the Tournament information screen. Participant activity is only counted from the time their Tournament session starts until the end of the Tournament period. We may adjust the planned duration prior to the Tournament start for operational or legal reasons.
3.3 Exploration and Objectives
Within the Tournament environment, you may be required to:
- explore a map covered by “fog-of-war”;
- discover and engage computer-controlled opponents or objectives; and/or
- build and upgrade in-Tournament structures or units.
Details of the specific Tournament objectives will be shown on the Tournament information screen.
3.4 Tournament Points Usage
Tournament Points may be used only inside the Tournament to obtain in-Tournament items, units, upgrades or services as displayed in the Tournament interface. They cannot be used to purchase entry, cannot be used in the main game, and cannot be redeemed.
3.5 Deterministic Combat / Mechanics
The Tournament is designed such that key outcomes are based on player decisions, timing and strategy rather than hidden chance. In particular:
- combat resolution is determined by visible rules and parameters;
- there are no hidden random rolls (e.g. critical hits, dodges, damage variance) that could alter combat outcomes in Cash Tournaments beyond what is explicitly disclosed; and
- automated “auto-battle” modes relying on hidden randomisation are not used in Cash Tournaments, save where expressly disclosed in advance for a specific Tournament. Any disclosed chance-based mechanic (if ever introduced) will not determine prize allocation or rankings unless permitted by applicable law and clearly stated in the Tournament information screen for that Tournament.
3.7 Final Phase / Waves (If Applicable)
Some Tournaments may include a final phase in which combined enemy waves attack each participant in sequence. Details, including the wave structure, order and timing, will be described on the Tournament information screen. Where you may select a defence window, you must choose from the time slots made available.
4. PRIZE STRUCTURE
4.1 Diamonds as Prizes
Tournaments may award Diamonds to top-ranked participants, where permitted by applicable law, in accordance with a published Prize Table, which will be shown on the Tournament information screen before registration. The Prize Table will set out, for that specific Tournament:
- the number of prize places;
- the amount of Diamonds (or range of amounts) awarded for each prize place; and
- any applicable minimum performance thresholds or conditions.
Prize pools, prize levels and distribution may vary from one Tournament to another.
4.2 No Alternative Prizes
Unless we explicitly state otherwise, prizes:
- are non-transferable;
- may not be substituted for alternative prizes or cash (other than redemption of Diamonds as described in the Terms); and
- may not be sold or exchanged between users.
4.3 Non-Cash Components
We may, at our discretion, include additional non-cash rewards (such as non-redeemable virtual items) alongside Diamond prizes. Such items have no real-world monetary value and cannot be redeemed.
4.4 Prize Changes and Cancellation
We reserve the right to amend the Prize Table or cancel a Tournament before it begins, in which case no prizes will be awarded for that Tournament. Once a Tournament has started, we will not materially reduce the advertised Diamond prizes except where necessary due to:
- technical error;
- legal or regulatory obligations; or
- fraud/abuse or similar serious issues affecting fairness.
5. SCORING, RANKINGS AND TIE-BREAKERS
5.1 Primary Ranking Metric
The method for calculating your score and ranking in each Tournament (for example, number of waves survived, objectives completed, points accumulated) will be displayed in the Tournament information screen.
5.2 Leaderboards
During and after a Tournament, provisional rankings may be displayed via in-game leaderboards. These rankings are illustrative only and may be subject to verification, correction and adjustment.
5.3 Skill-Based Tie-Breakers
If two or more participants have the same primary score or result, we will apply one or more skill-based tie-breakers, such as:
- total number of relevant objectives completed (e.g. beasts defeated);
- efficiency metrics (e.g. resources gained vs. resources spent); or
- other performance indicators clearly specified in the Tournament information.
5.4 Final Rankings
Final rankings and prize awards will be determined after we have completed any required validation or investigation. Our final rankings, as recorded on our systems, shall be conclusive, subject to any mandatory rights you may have under applicable law.
6. ANTI-CHEATING AND FAIR PLAY
6.1 Prohibited Conduct
Without limiting the Terms, you must not:
- (a) use cheats, hacks, automation software (bots), scripts or any unauthorised third-party tools;
- (b) modify or interfere with the Tournament client, memory or network traffic;
- (c) exploit any bug, glitch or vulnerability to gain an unfair advantage;
- (d) collude with other users to manipulate Tournament outcomes (for example, intentional losing, win-trading or coordinated score manipulation);
- (e) share accounts or allow others to play on your behalf; or
- (f) engage in harassment, abusive behaviour or unsportsmanlike conduct towards other participants or our staff.
6.2 Monitoring and Detection
We may monitor Tournament activity, including:
- gameplay logs and telemetry;
- connection and device information;
- unusual patterns or statistics; and
- reports from other users,
for the purpose of detecting cheating, fraud and rule violations, in accordance with applicable law and our Privacy Policy.
6.3 Automated and Manual Review
We may use automated systems to flag suspicious behaviour and may conduct manual reviews, particularly for top-ranked participants and prize winners, before confirming Tournament results.
7. DISQUALIFICATION AND VOIDING OF RESULTS
7.1 Grounds for Disqualification
We may disqualify you from a Tournament, acting reasonably and proportionately, if we reasonably believe that:
- (a) you have breached these Tournament Rules or the Terms;
- (b) you have engaged in cheating, collusion, exploitation of bugs or other unfair practices;
- (c) you have used multiple Accounts or otherwise attempted to circumvent Tournament entry limits;
- (d) you have provided false or misleading information in connection with KYC/AML checks;
- (e) your participation is unlawful in your jurisdiction; or
- (f) you have engaged in harassment, abuse or other serious misconduct.
7.2 Consequences
In addition to disqualification, we may:
- (a) remove or withhold any Diamonds or other rewards related to the Tournament;
- (b) adjust Tournament rankings and reallocate prizes to other participants; and/or
- (c) suspend or permanently close your Account under the Terms.
7.3 Void or Cancelled Tournaments
We may cancel or declare a Tournament void (in whole or in part) if:
- (a) a technical failure or other issue prevents the Tournament from operating as intended;
- (b) there is a significant exploit, widespread cheating or other event that compromises fairness; or
- (c) we are required to do so by law, regulation or court order.
In such cases, we may decide, in our discretion, whether and how to reschedule the Tournament or redistribute prizes.
8. WINNER VERIFICATION
8.1 Verification Procedures
Before confirming winning positions and paying out prizes, we may conduct verification checks, which may include:
- (a) reviewing gameplay logs, performance statistics and connection data;
- (b) re-running automated anti-cheat analysis;
- (c) requesting additional information or documents from you (for example, to confirm your identity, age or eligibility); and
- (d) investigating any reports or suspected rule violations.
8.2 Cooperation by Participants
You agree to cooperate with any reasonable requests we make during verification. Failure to cooperate may result in disqualification and forfeiture of prizes.
8.3 Correction of Errors
We reserve the right to correct any errors in Tournament results, rankings or prize allocations, including after provisional results have been displayed.
9. PRIZE PAYMENT AND TIMING
9.1 Crediting of Diamonds
Once Tournament results are finalised and we have completed any necessary verification or investigations:
- Diamonds awarded as prizes will be credited to the winners’ Accounts; and
- winners will be notified via in-game notifications and/or email (where available).
9.2 Redemption of Diamonds
Redemption of Diamonds for real-world currency is subject to the Cash Prize Conditions and related provisions set out in the Terms and our KYC & Prize Withdrawal Policy, and is available only where permitted by applicable law, including:
- completion of KYC/AML checks to our satisfaction;
- minimum and maximum redemption thresholds;
- processing times and available payout methods; and
- any applicable fees or currency conversion charges.
9.3 Payment Timeframe
Subject to the conditions above, we will use reasonable efforts to process eligible redemption requests within the indicative processing times stated in our KYC & Prize Withdrawal Policy. Actual receipt of funds may depend on your chosen payment method and financial institution, and may be delayed for reasons outside our control.
9.4 Taxes and Reporting
You are solely responsible for any taxes, duties or charges arising from Diamonds or cash prizes. We may withhold taxes or report prize information to relevant authorities where required by law.
9.5 Unreachable or Unverified Winners
If we are unable to contact you, verify your identity or process payment to you within a reasonable time (for example, [90 days] from the end of the Tournament), we may:
- treat the prize as forfeited; and
- deal with the forfeited prize in accordance with applicable law (for example, by reallocating it, donating it or reclaiming it).
10. GENERAL
10.1 Amendments
We may amend these Tournament Rules from time to time. Material changes will apply only to future Tournaments and will be communicated in advance where feasible. We may also revise or replace these Tournament Rules before Cash Tournaments are launched, to reflect changes in design, law or regulatory guidance.
10.2 Governing Law
These Tournament Rules are governed by the same law as the Terms and are subject to the same dispute resolution provisions.
